patio_curiaDentro del ciclo “Veladas de cámara”, organizado por el Centro Cultural Nuevo Inicio, el claustro del edificio de la Curia metropolitana acoge mañana un concierto de música sacra y danza ritual coreanas, bajo el título “De Oriente a Occidente”.

 

El concierto tendrá lugar mañana, 21 de junio, a las 20:30 horas, y estará a cargo de Isabel Lozano Martínez, Miguel Ángel Jiménez Arnaiz, Seung-Hee Yoo, Grang Dong y Sun Hwa Choi, que interpretarán diversas obras como el “Ave María” de Tomás Luis de Victoria,”Homenaje a Debussy” de Manuel de Falla, el Salmo 22: “El Señor es mi pastor”, el Kyrie, Credo y Sanctus, entre otras piezas.

Intérpretes
El dúo Consaeptum está formado por Isabel Lozano Martínez (clave) y Miguel Ángel Jiménez Arnáiz (guitarra barroca). La voluntad fundacional de este dúo es profundizar en la música del Renacimiento y el Barroco. Miguel Ángel Jiménez es catedrático de guitarra del Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid desde 1991, e Isabel Lozano es bibliotecaria del Departamento de Música de la Biblioteca Nacional desde 1996.

Consaeptum ha desarrollado su actividad musical a lo largo y ancho de la geografía española. Ha colaborado con el coro de cámara Ad Verbum y ha intervenido con la Fundación Siglo Futuro en diversos actos en torno a la vinculación entre literatura y música.

Por su parte, Seung-Hee Yoo (Seúl, 1959) es soprano y directora del Departamento de Música del Bachillerato Superior de Arte de Seúl. Entre 1975 y 1977, comienza a estudiar en la Seoul Arts High School con el profesor Okja Kim.

Grang Dong se graduó en la Universidad Han-Yang de Seúl, en Corea del Sur. En el año 2008, actuó en el concierto anual organizado por el Centro Nacional de Arte Tradicional. Obtuvo la plata en el décimo tercer Certamen Nacional de Música Instrumental Coreana. Desde 2009, actuó en los conciertos de Kayagum por Europa. Actualmente, estudia Música Española e Hispanoamericana en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Sun Hwa Choi (Corea del Sur) es musicóloga e investigadora incansable sobre la música hispana en Corea. Licenciada en la Facultad de Música de la Universidad DanKook, Seúl, continuó perfeccionando sus estudios en España, en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid, entre otros, en la especialidad de Contrabajo, Dirección de Coros y Musicología; asimismo, ha realizado un Master de Musicoterapia en la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, y un Master de Música Hispana en la Universidad de Salamanca. Además, su más importante trabajo ha sido la primera versión publicada sobre “Música Hispana”, que es el primer libro centrado en la música española en Corea. Por este motivo, el Rey de España le concedió la “Cruz de Isabel la Católica” (10 de julio 2006), en reconocimiento a su trabajo educativo con los músicos en Corea del Sur, y por su labor de difusión de la cultura musical española en el país asiático.
